The impact of oil at the Plantation varies from day to day. Some days the water is crystal clear and the beach is sugar-white and other days, there are tarballs and sheen in the water and on the beach.

As a service to owners on our rental program, Mandoki Hospitality has made arrangements with the CPA firm of Grant, Sanders & Taylor, P.C. to file claims for lost rental revenue with BP at no cost.

As a service to owners who do not rent through MHI or those who plan to file on their own, we've posted instructions on the claims process below:

IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING YOUR RIGHTS TO FILE CLAIMS FOR LOST REVENUES AND EXPENSES UNDER THE BP DEEPWATER HORIZON INCIDENT RESPONSE PROGRAM

The following are the steps you need to take in order to file a claim under this program:

1. Call the BP Claims hotline at 1-800-440-0858 and obtain a claim number, or file online at www.bp.com/claim or visit a local claims office (Foley or Orange beach.)

2. Claims should be filed monthly based on your average prior three years' monthly rentals versus your actual rentals for 2010. The difference should be your claim for lost revenues.

3. If you incurred any out-of-pocket costs that relate directly to the BP incident, those should be documented and included in the claim total, as well.

4. Supporting documentation should include copies of your prior years' Schedule of rental income and expenses filed with your income tax return, copies of your monthly rental reports and any other supporting data that will present the facts in your particular situation. You should also furnish a copy of your rental management agreement with your company.

5. The claim should then be filed by either fax, online or in person at one of the claims centers. Call the Orange Beach Claims office at 251-974-2050 to obtain the proper fiing instructions.

The local CPA firm of Grant, Sanders and Taylor, P.C. has been working closely with BP representatives from the start of the incident and is prepared to assist you in your claims process and file for you if you would like their assistance. They can be contacted by phone at 251-968-2727 (Gulf Shores) or 251-980-2727 (Orange Beach) or at bpclaim@grantsanderstaylor.com. Fees for their services may be added to your claim as a direct cost of the incident. It is recommended that claims be filed on a monthly basis and they can assist you in gathering the supporting documentation necessary to comply with the BP claims guidelines in place.
